Redmond, Bristow and Bingham kick off the 2017 Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship Celeb-Am

The first groupings of this year’s Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship have begun their first round at the Cromwell Course.

Starting in ‘shotgun starts’, each team of four, with one celebrity among a trio of amateur players, began from a different hole at Nailcote Hall.

The likes of athletics hero Derek Redmond MBE, darts legend Eric Bristow MBE and Talksport presenter Georgie Bingham got their Celeb-Am campaigns under way. Former England striker Dean Ashton, Manchester United midfielder Clayton Blackmore as well as cricketing legend Franklyn Stephenson.

Among the professionals involved were European Tour winner Costantino Rocca, Spaniard Miguel Angel Martin and Gary Wolstenholme MBE.
