Legendary Premier League goalscorer Robbie Fowler has been announced as the latest star to join this year’s Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship celebrity line-up. Best known for his exceptional goal scoring ability at Liverpool, the former England international joins a whole host of famous faces at this year’s competition.
Held once again at Warwickshire’s stunning Nailcote Hall the event sees professionals, amateurs and celebrities come together to take on the prestigious Cromwell Course in August. Over the course of his 19-year football career Robbie established himself as one of the best goal scorers in England hitting 163 Premier League goals, the sixth highest in history. He was also an instrumental figure in Liverpool’s 2001 treble winning season where the club won the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup.
Robbie is not the only sporting great who is taking part this year with Rugby World Cup hero Mike Tindall MBE, 1992 Formula 1 winner Nigel Mansell CBE and fellow Premier League great Andrew Cole also in attendance. Former England cricketer James Taylor and BBC Breakfast’s Dan Walker and Naga Muchetty will also be playing in the celebrity AM.
This year’s line-up continues to grow and this year’s Championship promises to be the best yet.
