Each year, as we move into the summer, preparations for the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship step up and the excitement mounts.
And every year the imminent arrival of the main event is brought into sharp focus by the pre-qualifying event held here at Nailcote Hall, so it is with great anticipation that we await this season’s qualifier on Monday 6th June.
With a minimum of four qualifying spots on offer, there are at present 78 players vying for entry into the event proper. The prize fund was boosted recently and now stands at a grand total of €150,000, with €50,000 going to the Championship winner, so competition is likely to be fiercer than ever.
Run in collaboration with our Official Event Partners the Eagle Tour, this 18 hole qualifier will take place on our Championship course, which is in the best condition we have seen. The players with the lowest scores will progress and, in the event of a tie, there will be a sudden death live on-course play-off. Scores can be found at www.theeagletour.co.uk.
We look forward to welcoming all 78 players to what looks set to be a tense occasion and a wonderful precursor to the 2016 edition of the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship.
