First celebs tee off as the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship gets underway

This year’s Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship has now officially begun with the first celebrities teeing off in today’s opening Celeb-Am.

One of the highlights of the Championship, a whole host of famous faces will be taking to the Cromwell Course during today’s event, with the first celebrities getting the action underway at 8:30am.

The star names who kicked off today’s play include former West Ham United and England player, Dean Ashton, cricket hero, Franklyn Stephenson, and high-profile darts players, Keith Deller and Colin Lloyd. Jockey Bob Champion and Olympic hockey star Calum Giles were also among the names who began the day.

Last year’s first Celeb-Am was won by Scottish rugby star Max Evans, and all of today’s celebrities will be hoping to follow in his footsteps at Nailcote Hall.

As the day progresses even more celebrities will be in action with the likes of England rugby legend, Mike Tindall MBE, British athletics star, Kriss Akabusi MBE, former Westlife singer, Brian McFadden, Harry Potter actors James and Oliver Phelps, and Scottish television presenter Jenni Falconer.
