A stalwart of Tony Jacklin's highly successful European Ryder Cup teams of the 1980s, 1991 Masters Champion Ian Woosnam OBE will be joining his former skipper at Nailcote Hall as they compete for the coveted 2016 Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship trophy.
With more than 48 professional titles to his name worldwide and a famous Masters Tournament Green Jacket in his wardrobe, Ian Woosnam is quite simply one of the most successful European golfers of the last 50 years.
Amongst his wins are 29 on the European Tour, five on the European Senior Tour and his first US Senior title at the Insperity Invitational in 2015.
Woosie is coming into the Championship in good form after finishing runner-up at the Acorn Jersey Open so he will certainly be one to watch at this year’s event.
