Former Open winner Paul Lawrie OBE to play at the BP3

Paul Lawrie OBE joins the ever-growing list of professionals playing at this year’s Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship. This year the event takes place between 8-11 August and a whole host of fantastic professional golfers will be hoping to conquer The Cromwell Course for the chance to win the €50,000 prize on offer. Once again Warwickshire’s Nailcote Hall is the setting for this year’s Championship and their renowned Par 3 course will see a stellar line-up of professionals and celebrities taking part in just under a months’ time.

Returning to the event is 1999 Open champion Paul Lawrie OBE. We are thrilled to welcome back Paul to the event after he made his debut in 2014. Paul is best known for winning the Open Championship in 1999 which included a field with the likes of Tiger Woods and Colin Montgomerie. As well as this success, he has also played for Europe in two Ryder Cup victories in 1999 and 2012 and has represented Scotland at four World Cups. As well as this he was vice-captain at the 2016 Ryder Cup and has also got eight European Tour wins to his name.

Paul is the latest professional to be confirmed for the event next month. The line-up this year includes two-time Major winner Tony Jacklin CBE, Masters winner Ian Woosnam OBE, World Golf Hall of Fame member Dame Laura Davies, Italian legend Costantino Rocca and last year’s winner Mark Mouland.
