John Hartson to tackle the course at the BP3

Everyone knows that the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship is making its return next month, and this year promises to be bigger than ever before with a stellar line-up of celebrities on the roster. These famous faces can be spotted on The Cromwell Course on 8 and 11 August during the Celeb-Am.

John Hartson is best known as a prolific striker in the Premier League during the 90s and noughties and is the latest star added to the 2017 line-up. In England, he represented the likes of Arsenal, West Ham and Wimbledon over the course of his 15-year career. His best form came with Scottish team Celtic where he made over 200 appearances and winning three Scottish Premier League titles. He also made an impact on the international stage earning 51 caps for Wales. Since his retirement from the sport John has become one of TV’s most popular football pundits regularly appearing on BBC’s Final Score and BT Sport’s BT Sport Score results programmes.

His addition to the Championship is just the latest in a stellar list of celebrities from the world of sport and entertainment. Also plying their trade during the week are Rugby World Cup hero Mike Tindall MBE, 1992 Formula 1 winner Nigel Mansell CBE and fellow Premier League greats Robbie Fowler and Andrew Cole.
