Former England rugby captain Mike Tindall MBE has been confirmed for this year’s Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship. As ever this year’s event takes place at Nailcote Hall in Warwickshire and will see a whole host of famous faces take on the prestigious course.

Tindall is best-known as a member of England’s 2003 World Cup winning team. Playing an instrumental role throughout the tournament, he helped the side to a stunning 20-17 victory over Australia in the final to crown England as world champions for the first time.

His announcement expands the sporting spectrum taking part at this year’s Championship with 1992 Formula 1 world champion Nigel Mansell and former England and Nottinghamshire batsman James Taylor. Ex-Aston Villa and Bayern Munich striker Alan McInally will also be in attendance. This year the event will take place between 8-11 August in what promises to be a wonderful celebration of golf with professionals and celebrities alike coming together to try their luck on the Cromwell course.

Once again leading frozen food specialist and retailer Farmfoods are the Championship’s headline sponsor providing €150,000 for the prize fund which will help to attract elite golfers from around the world to the event as they battle it out for the top prize of €50,000.
