Steven Tiley is clubhouse leader after completing his first round of the Pro-Am!

The Pro-Am is now in full swing with many professionals having completed their first round of this exciting two-day championship.

Current Challenge Tour player and former European Tour star, Steven Tiley, is currently holding firm as the clubhouse leader with a score of -3.

During the 18 hole-round, Steven was able to edge away from competitors, but only narrowly as former European Tour and current PGA EuroPro Tour player Andrew Marshall, and BP3 mainstay, Craig Lawrie, both share a score of -2 and are just one stroke behind.

The first round is also ticked off for the likes of Stoke Park pro, Tom Reid, three-time European Tour winner, Peter Baker, and Irish star Brendan McGovern who will be vying to better their scores going into the second, and final round of the competition tomorrow.

Let’s not forget the amateurs either, who are playing alongside the pros and competing for their own prize – the Norma C Herd Silver Salver. The award recognises the best scoring amateur from the two-day event.

Of the amateurs who have completed their 18 holes, it is former West Ham and England striker Dean Ashton who has taken the amateur clubhouse lead. Dean has a score of +5 he has been but breathing down his neck is the winner of Monday’s junior qualifier Nick Matthews!

Nick is the youngest player to be competing in the Pro-Am and at the age of just 14-years old and with a current score of +6 is demonstrating that he is destined for success.

As more and more pros and amateurs finish the first round, it is all to play for, for the remaining players yet to take to the course.
