Müller Yogurts finished top of the day 1 table at the Farmfoods British Par 3, in a team led by Warwickshire CCC cricketer Chris Benjamin.
Benjamin played alongside golfers Tommy Cooper and Phil O’Neill and Müller National Account Manager Kyle Hardman, collecting 84 points and finishing 12 VPAR to clinch first place in the Celeb-Am table.
They were followed closely by Farmfoods 2, Berkmann Wine Cellars and Kepak in the table. Gary Wolstenholme MBE emerged as the best performing pro, bringing in 36 points for his team whilst finishing on 0 VPAR, as former Nottingham Forest striker Nigel Jemson claimed the best result of the day by finishing the day with -3 VPAR.
Elsewhere, Simon Harbridge of CBVC Centurions opened the proceedings with this year’s first hole-in-one, striking the ball perfectly at hole 7 to impress the crowds, including teammate and two-time Olympian Calum Giles.
The Pro-Am kicks off on Wednesday, with professionals such as Daniel Brown, Ian Woosnam OBE and Robert Rock competing for the illustrious €50,000 prize pot.
