The Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship regularly draws in thousands of spectators each year. And once again this year will see people of all ages head to Nailcote Hall for the 2019 edition of the event.
Thinking of visiting this year? Check out the below testimonial from Willem Dortmans who was one of last year’s visitors!
My experience at the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship was extremely positive. I have been going to the BP3 for many years and each year has seen constant improvement.
From the professionals and celebrities that take part, activities in the tented village and the unbelievable atmosphere it is a wonderful occasion which everyone can enjoy. I go to the BP3 with my family and have done so for five years now. Accessing the event is easy due to the amount of parking and how well organised everything is.
There are a number of things to do and me and my family have never been bored. If you don’t want to watch the golf there are lots of mini games in the tented village that you can play to try and win prizes.
The celebrities that participate are happy to interact with the crowds which is something you don’t always get to experience at golf events. Another good aspect of the event is getting to see celebrities, pros and amateurs play alongside one another, this is very entertaining as there is a real mix of ability.
Pros and celebrities are always happy to stop have a chat and take photos with you. It is almost like you are playing a round of golf with them and this is very different to any other event I have experienced.
The event is very well organised, and it’s easy to know what is happening as the scores and tee times are signposted well. This makes it easy to follow your favourite players makes the experience even more enjoyable.
It is easy to walk around the course getting in close proximity to the players in action. During the day I was able to watch the pros and celebs warm up on the putting green and was just feet away from them.
Furthermore, the atmosphere in the crowd is amazing and they all enjoy watching the action. The grandstand by the 9th green gives you a place to get out of the sun, giving you a perfect view to watch the players finish their round on a tricky and entertaining hole.
The tented village is one of my favourite elements of the event, this is because of the fun things there are to do there. I loved playing on the golf simulators and participating in putting competitions.
What makes the games even better is that there are prizes. I also enjoyed experiencing the wide range of delicious food and the staff working there are very friendly and welcoming. The village and the tournament have continued to improve becoming more entertaining each year. I’m sure this is set to continue and will get bigger and better in the future. I look forward to going back.
