Time for the professionals to shine in today’s Pro-Am

The second day of the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship organised by Champions (UK) plc started early this morning with the Pro-Am field seeing excellent headway being made by Richard O'Hanlon, Marc Farry, Tom Reid, Daanyal Spalding, David Gilford and Sam Walker.

Following the nail-biting Celeb-Am rounds on Tuesday, with Nigel Mansell CBE and comedian/TV presenter Roy Walker sharing the celebrity title, today’s Pro-Am sees the likes of Warren Jacklin – who was the winning professional yesterday finishing the course on Par and beating Mark Murphy and Clayton Blackmore into joint second place – playing alongside amateur Dan Callaghan, Jason Timmis pairing with Chris Duffy, Tommy Horton MBE with Maurice Addison, Matthew Southgate with Andy Blair and Mike Harwood with racing driver legend Mansell CBE.

Among the other celebrities who will be sharing the field today will be Dean Saunders, Dominic Holland, Len Goodman, Derek Redmond, Peter Shilton, James Jordan and Peter Withe.

However, all eyes will be on the professionals with many huge names from the world of golf stepping up to the tee. These include Ian Woosnam OBE, Costantino Rocca, tournament host Tony Jacklin CBE, Gary Wolstenholme MBE, Scott Drummond, Champions’ own Paul Broadhurst fresh from his Senior Open victory, Carl Mason, Santiago Luna, Miguel Ángel Martin, Lee Slattery, Nick Dougherty, Esteban Toledo, Michael Campbell, Edoardo Molinari, Tommy Fleetwood and Kelsey MacDonald.
