European Senior Tour star Gary Wolstenholme MBE hit a spectacular round of 46, equalling the course record and surging up the leaderboard. The two-time Amateur Championship winner finished on -1 to put himself in a good position.
With tough conditions at Nailcote Hall and the leaders yet to tee off, anything could happen before the prize-giving ceremony later this evening.
