Since winning the Silver Medal awarded to best amateur at The Open Championship last month, Sam Locke has seen his career go from strength to strength. Turning professional on the back of this achievement, the 19-year-old played in only his second ever professional event at the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship, competing in the Pro-Am.
He talked to the Farmfoods British Par 3, about his experiences playing in the event for the first time and his ambitions for the rest of the year.
“It’s a fun little course, you have to be very precise with your shots. Looking ahead to the rest of the year I will be playing in some Challenge Tour events its about learning as much as I can and getting the positives from each tournament. I’m enjoying it so far and looking forward to what lies ahead.”
